Salinas PAL sponsors a soccer program for girls and boys ages 7 to 18. PAL focuses on fair play and hard work on and off the field. All kids play at some point during the game.

Salinas PAL teams are registered with and play in the Salinas Valley Soccer League. Successful teams are then chosen for CAL-PAL tournaments. PAL Soccer practice is held twice a week at El Sausal Middle School.

In the 2004 Cal-PAL Soccer Tournament, held in Bakersfield, CA, the Salinas PAL sent 6 teams. The age groups we represented were Girls and Boys 16 and under, Girls and Boys 14 and under, and Girls and Boys 12 and under. The Salinas PAL Boys 12 and under team took the Championship while the Girls 12 and under team placed 2nd. The Salinas PAL Boys 14 and under team placed 2nd in their division while the girls were eliminated early from fierce competition. Finally, the Salinas PAL 16 and under Boys team placed 3rd while the 16 and under Girls team placed 4th.

We sent 106 players representing the Salinas PAL program to a tournament that had over 1500 soccer players from all over the state. Our six teams were only a fraction of the 79 total teams that competed. Awesome job Salinas PAL soccer players. You represented our city, program, and the sport of Soccer well.
