The Salinas Police Activities League is proud to announce
its participation in The
First Tee Program. The First Tee program
is sponsored by all major U.S. Golf Associations and has
been in existence since 1997. The First Tee program introduces
young people of all backgrounds to the game of golf and
its inherently positive values, from respect and integrity
to individual responsibility and sportsmanship.
The First Tee Program is taught in a classroom like setting
with a majority of the lessons being taught on the links
at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Salinas.
The
ages of participants are from 7-17 years old. Whether you're
a beginner or a seasoned
veteran of the game, there is a class for you. We are seeking students
and volunteers for the program. There is a $35.00 fee for
the program and all participants must be a member of the
Salinas PAL.
We are
also seeking volunteers for this program. If you can make
it for one hour once a week or once a month, you will make
a great impact in someone's life. Please give back to the
community and help us make this program successful.
