Jr. Giants

Junior Giants Baseball is a program sponsored by the Giants Community Fund. The program was founded in 1991. The program provides organized baseball to over 8,000 youth in the inner cities and rural communities of Northern and Central California. Salinas has one of the Largest Junior Giants programs in the state, we served over 300 kids in 2008. The goal of the program is to promote self-esteem, teamwork and leadership along with the fundamentals of baseball. Parents, volunteers, coaches and umpires place a higher value on character than on wins and losses.

Junior Giants sign up's are usually in May, with the season running from July to September, games are played every Saturday at El Dorado Park. 5 to 7 years play T-Ball, 8 to 10 years Minors, and 11 to 13 years Majors.
